The 'net is built on open standards.

The internet's great potential is only realized when these standards are embraced and supported by all players - the web is strewn with saddening examples of what happens when standards are abandoned for proprietary, specific software in the increasingly fractured browser market. It makes things difficult for users and authors alike.

But you want to reach the widest audience you can. We know.

blindmicemedia creates sites with forward compliance in mind - you don't need obscenely nested tables to build something that's visually-rich, for example. Valid markup and display/content separation can build highly effective applications and websites. And yes, if you need to, you can still use Flash when necessary.

This site was constructed to be XHTML compliant. It uses JavaScript and Flash content as well, but degrades gracefully in non-compliant browsers. If you see an error, please let us know - and tell us what browser and platform you're using as well.

Why this typeface?

Yes, it's Arial. Because HTML text in a user's browser can only be rendered in available fonts on that user's computer, web developers are limited to the most common fonts that are typically installed on their users' computers, across platforms.
